Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines,

though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food,

though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,

To be able to rejoice in everything and anything. That, is pure contentment in the Lord.

Always easy to be content when things are going smoothly. But when the going gets tough, will you be able to do the same? To give thanks, and rejoice at the same time!
